Losing three games straight, despite leading 3-1, the Los Angeles Clippers stopped in the western semi-finals with an 89-104 defeat to Denver Nuggets in game 7 on September 16.

The Los Angeles Clippers (black) came in better and made a 12-point difference in the middle of the second half. But Doc Rivers teachers and students played poorly in the second half of the match.

The Clippers missed 13 of the first 14 shots in the fourth half and were led to 20 points with two minutes remaining. In-game 5 and game 6, seed number two in the West lost even though they had a lead of more than 15 points in the second half.

This is the second time in 5 years, the Clippers have lost back in the play-off after leading 3-1 total. At the 2015 West Finals, Los Angeles representatives were eliminated after seven games against the Houston Rockets.

In its 50-year history, the Clippers have never surpassed the domain semi-finals at the NBA Play-off. Including the four most popular American sports (basketball, baseball, rugby, ice hockey), the Clippers are the team with the longest time away from the regional finals.

Midfielder Nikola Jokic (white) achieved a triple-double in game 7 with 16 points, 13 assists, and 22 rebounds. Jamal Murray scored 40 points and helped Denver Nuggets win the fourth domain final ticket in history, on the 49th birthday of coach Mike Malone.

The Denver Nuggets have twice made a comeback

The Denver Nuggets became the first team in history to have twice made a comeback, losing 1-3 in a play-off. They returned to the Western final after 11 years of absence. In NBA history, there have been nine teams ahead of Denver Nuggets coming upstream when they were 1 to 3 in the play-offs. The Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets have done it twice but in two different seasons.

In the Western NBA Finals, the Denver Nuggets met another Los Angeles city representative, the Lakers. Before that, LeBron James and his teammates defeated the Houston Rockets 4-1 in the semifinals of the region and brought the Lakers back to the fourth round of the strongest team after 10 years. This series starts on the morning of September 19.
