Young People's Theatre

Our young people's theatre company runs in Eden District. It meets on Tuesday evenings at venues in Penrith.  Some of the programme also takes place in and around Kirkby Stephen.

Membership is subject to availability but is open to anyone aged 14-19 who is interested in the performing arts - acting, music, physical theatre or dance.  You don't need any experience, or to be doing these subjects at school.   Much of your work will be with professional actors, and they'll teach you their skills like unarmed stage combat or the techniques of acting in film and television.   The programme includes learning new skills, touring the District with a  new show every Easter, and making a film in the summer holidays.

Three Car Pile-up

Quondam Young People’s Theatre Company meet and rehearse on Tuesday evenings at The Play Station in Penrith.
Quondam is a professional theatre company based in Eden District, dedicated exclusively to the production of new, original work. With young people, we always create the work around the numbers and interests of the group’s members. Sessions are informal, without forgetting that theatre production involves hard work and the courage to take risks.

THREE CAR PILE-UP is the the group’s first production with us.

How to find the venue: The Playhouse is situated on the western edge of the Town Centre in Auction Mart Lane, behind the Agricultural Hotel, adjacent Morrisons car park.
